What makes Harmony Garden Sprouts Early Childhood Music Classes so special?!

Harmony Garden employs board certified music therapists. Each of us have a degree specifically in music therapy, have completed an internship in music therapy, and have successfully completed our board certifications. We understand how to use music to help children grow. We use music to build social skills, communication skills, develop skills for behavior management, and express emotions (to name a few). This is all on top of helping children develop a foundation for life long music learning.
In the last year, Harmony Garden made music with over 600 children in Jackson Co, under the age of FIVE! These children came to our Harmony Garden Sprouts classes, attended free community groups, attended library music groups, participated with Early On, attended school at facilities where we provide music, and/or dropped in to our classes. This all took place in the last year, multiply that by the eleven years we have been open…Now, that’s a LOT of little ones, learning and loving music with us!
In the last year, we gave away over 400 instruments to children in our community! This was with the help of a grant from the Great Start Collaborative in Jackson County. We have had the honor of doing this the past three years and hope to be offering something similar this upcoming year!
Our music isn’t curriculum based. We are able to do whatever we need with music. If you have a small child, you know they are not predictable. What happens when there is a class of 8-10 little ones expressing their own unique personalities? We change, adapt, and create to meet these needs in the moment. We have our favorite songs to do with certain seasons, but we also are constantly learning new material or are writing our own songs to use in our classes. And, we get to put three brains together to create top notch music experiences that your children get to participate in!
Every child, cautious or spitfire, has a place and will have fun! It doesn’t matter the distance the child gets from the parents lap during class. All children are celebrated for what they do in music, as they are! Every child will have fun exploring instruments and movement with music, despite their level of confidence!
Our classes are 45 minutes long! We KNOW it’s not easy for little ones to concentrate for long periods of time, but we KNOW that they can! Every one of our classes is a FULL 45 minutes long and packed with music!
We try to keep cost affordable and work with families, when necessary, to make payment plans. We are a for-profit, so grant funding to help subsidize class costs has never been available. Our class prices change depending on the semester you are joining. Some sessions are short. Summer session is only 6 weeks. Some sessions are long. Fall session is 12 weeks. We will ALWAYS help families who want to participate make payment plans in order to assist in their ability to enroll. We currently have discount rocks hidden around for $10 off! Anyone can find one of these!
