Saying Goodbye… From the Desk Of… Erin Baumler

As I finish up my last week at Harmony Garden to begin the next stage of my journey as a music therapist, I would like to say how grateful I am to all of you for welcoming me into your lives and community. My time at Harmony Garden has certainly been one of growth (pun intended). I’ve gotten to know so many amazing clients, families, fellow music therapists, and supporters of music therapy. I know that memories of our time together will stay with me for years to come.

To give you an update on what I’ll be doing next, I have accepted a full-time position as a hospice music therapist in the Flint area. Although I love working with clients of all ages, I have lately been feeling especially called to this population and I’m excited for the opportunity to bring music therapy as a new service to these individuals.

Although I will miss the wonderful people I’ve met during my time here, I look forward to seeing how Harmony Garden continues to be a positive presence in the community, bringing people together through music.

Wishing you all the very best in the coming season,
