Calling All Musicians: Join the Harmony
Yes, we are talking to YOU!
Are you a musician looking for opportunities to perform in a comfortable and accepting space? Would you be interested in using your musical craft to connect with families in Jackson, MI through the power of music? Look no further! The Harmony Gardeners is calling out to talented individuals like you to join our community-focused musical ensemble.
About the Harmony Gardeners:
- The Harmony Gardeners were founded in 2020 as a way to connect safely with our Harmony Garden Sprouts families. These concert gatherings started with around 30-40 people attending and have grown to average 150-200 people attending!
- We’re a community group dedicated to providing a welcoming space for families to come together and enjoy music that celebrates diversity, kindness, all families, and self-love. Sample Playist on Spotify
- Our performances are geared towards children. We do this with engaging dance/movement songs, interactive play songs, and songs that celebrate all of us!
- We believe in leading by example and celebrating the arts while nurturing a sense of community and togetherness.
Why Join Us?
- Connect with like-minded parents and musicians who share your passion for music and community engagement.
- Have the opportunity to perform in our monthly concerts at Cascades Park – Rotary Band Shell on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
- Participate in pop-up concerts at various locations around Jackson, spreading joy and music throughout the community.
- Flexible scheduling: Joining our group doesn’t require participation in every concert, allowing you to balance your commitment with your family schedule.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Instrumentalists: lead guitar, guitar, bass, drums/percussion, vocals, piano, and any other instruments you bring to the table!
- Musicians who may not gig around town all the time but are passionate about sharing their love of music with families. If you DO gig around town all the time, you are also welcome! We just know the gigging musician life, so your commitment is at your discretion.
- Parents who want to encourage the and lead by example for the arts in their children or other children in the community.
Join Us for Open Rehearsals:
- We’ll be hosting open rehearsals for anyone interested in learning our material and becoming part of our ensemble.
- No audition necessary—just bring your talent and enthusiasm!
