Welcome to Shin-Yi Chen, Music Therapist!

We’re excited to welcome Shin-Yi Chen to our Harmony Garden staff! Shin-Yi is a new music therapist who will be starting with us on Mondays and Wednesdays so we can continue to grow and build in 2022! We hope you give her a warm welcome if you see her around the office.

Shin-Yi (Rita) Chen, originally from Taoyuan, Taiwan, recently became a board certified music therapist in January 2022, and received her Master of Music Therapy in December 2021 at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX, with her professional paper “Music Therapy in Mental Health Settings Under Taiwanese Culture: A Philosophical Inquiry”, which she also presented online at the poster session of 2021 AMTA conference.
