This month’s client highlight is Betsy! Betsy has participated in many music making opportunities at Harmony Garden, including individual music therapy sessions, our Creative Connections Day Program, and attending many of our extra music events like concerts.
Everyone who meets Betsy, knows that the first thing you notice about her is her huge smile. Betsy is friendly to everyone she meets and her smile is contagious. The second thing everyone notices when doing music with her is her love for singing. If you put a mic in front of her, she will sing her heart out and we all love to listen. Betsy is also the queen of Halloween costumes. You can see in one of the pictures above when she was Barbie in her pink Barbie car. Unpictured, but one of our favorite costumes was when she was Vanna White from Wheel of Fortune.
Many of our therapists have had the pleasure of making music with Betsy and every single one of them loves both her and her family. We are so thankful to have them as part of the Harmony Garden family!
Q: What is something you love about coming to Harmony Garden?
A: She feels happy inside on singing day and it shows! Big smile! She looks forward to seeing Bekah. She has learned to sing using her own voice.
Q: What is something you have learned while coming to Harmony Garden?
A: You may not hear the words but she is singing them clear as a bell.
Q: What is your favorite song?
A: Too many to pick one! Songs from The Little Mermaid, Frozen, Britney, Back Street Boys…Some that might surprise you. She’s even been to a Madonna concert.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do?
A: Anything that involves her niece, Ella. She loves to go to all of her soccer, basketball games, and track meets.

A: My mom and dad say it’s just me being me.
