Meet Taylor!

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on our newest staff member and one of our incredible music therapists here at Harmony Garden!
This is Taylor’s first music therapy position and we are so excited that she gets to experience this field here with our families. Taylor’s passion for music therapy and helping others is evident in everything we have seen from her so far and we just know that she’s going to continue doing incredible things with and for our Harmony Garden families.

Interview and Chit Chat
Q: If you could have lunch with any musician in history, who would it be?
A: Stevie Wonder
Q: What is something you love to do outside of work?
A: Volunteering at the cat cafe near my house
Q: What inspired you to explore music therapy?
A: Growing up, I had a grandmother who had pretty severe dementia. I learned at a pretty young age that music was one of the few things that truly calmed her down and made her act like her true self. When I found out about music therapy when I was in high school, I knew it would be the right career for me. I think those experiences I had with my grandmother when I was young are a big reason why I chose to become a music therapist.
Q: What’s your favorite part of your job?

A: My favorite part of my job is definitely building connections with clients and getting to be a part of their growth. I love helping people achieve their goals and reach their full potential!
Join us in celebrating Taylor and the amazing work she is doing here at Harmony Garden!
