Why Join?

Music has always been a cherished part of the Methodist tradition. From the heartfelt singing of hymns to the powerful choral harmonies that fill the sanctuary. Music carries the very essence of worship, connection, and spiritual reflection. This Music Therapy Ministry at First United Methodist Church builds upon this rich tradition, offering a space where music continues to heal, uplift, and connect us in profound ways.

This ministry doesn’t just offer music therapy services; it creates a nurturing and spiritually enriching environment where individuals can experience the deep love of Christ through the power of music. Whether it’s the soothing melodies of cherished hymns or the comforting rhythms that echo the heartbeat of our congregation’s faith, music therapy provides personalized support to those in need—bringing peace, comfort, and spiritual growth.

This ministry is underwritten by the Brian Buehler Memorial Fund which Brian established to expand and enhance Christian ministry outreach through music and the arts. It is a ministry where each note, each song, reminds us that we are not alone, and through music, we can find healing, strength, and a deeper connection to God.
